Design & Inspiration
Tarantulas is a cartoon-accurate reimagining of the Beast Wars character, faithfully recreating his TV appearance with sculpted head, torso, rounded shoulders, and fangs. The figure features a new mold distinct from the original Beast Wars Blackarachnia, giving it a more faithful look to the show’s design.
Transforming & Articulation
- Two modes: Robot and spider.
- Robot mode: 19-step transformation, with articulated spider legs (30 points of articulation) that can be pointed in various directions.
- Spider mode: Limbs fold realistically, with robot arms becoming spider fangs.
- Legs can accommodate blast effects to simulate firing from the TV series.
Weapons & Accessories
- Crossbow/grapple gun – replicates the original figure’s crossbow, without the launching string/web.
- Energon buzzsaw – pays homage to Tarantulas’ Transmetal form in Beast Wars.
- Signature weapon: Energon Buzzsaw with blades that can slice through any material.
Materials & Color
Made from purple, metallic green, and black plastic with yellow accents.
Collectible & Legacy Features
- Part of the Legacy line, which combines elements from all Transformers generations into a single, modern mold.
