Shrapnel, also known as Sharpshot and Skrapnel, is a Decepticon Insecticon from the Generation 1 continuity family. He is characterized by his eccentric dialogue and his mastery of electricity. In insect mode, Shrapnel can use his twin antennae to generate an electric burst of up to
40,000 volts and control virtually any electrically run device. In robot mode, he can attract massive bolts of lightning from the sky to augment his electrical generating capacity and release that power through his hands. Shrapnel also carries a grenade launcher that shoots a 30
pound steel ball that splinters into thousands of razor-sharp spikes in mid-air. His battle cry can be heard for miles around, adding to his menacing presence.
